Based on the NN/g Skill Mapping Template, I made a lot of improvements after putting that to practical use.

  • Reorganized UX skill sets into four main categories (Research, Interaction Design, Content Strategy, and Visual Design).
  • Included Leadership and Core Qualities to assess important skills outside of UX that are indicators for success.
  • Each category is broken down further into more specific areas with definitions for each item to improve the team’s shared understanding of each metric.
  • Created two versions: 1) All-in-one view for fully transparent teams or manager only assessment and 2) Linked spreadsheets for private individual scorecards that populate for the manager.
  • Tabbed layout for individual scorecards and improved current and future state visualizations.
